2 padi dem of Benin president don chop 20 years for prison because dem plan coup

Two men wey dey close to Benin president don collect 20 years for prison sake of say dem plan to comot am from power. Olivier Boko, wey be business man and padi of President Patrice Talon, and Oswald Homeky, wey be former sports minister, dem find dem guilty say dem try bribe di president security oga to help dem do di coup.  Dem catch Homeky as e dey give six bags of money to di security oga, wey later go report di plan.  

Boko, wey people sabi as di president main guy, dem accuse am say na im plan di whole coup. Dem arrest am for different matter, and e don already show interest say e wan run for president for 2026. Another man wey join dem, Rock Nieri, dem still find am guilty but di guy don escape and no show for di trial. Di court still fine di three men join and order dem make dem pay $95 million as damages to di country.  

Dem sabi Benin as one of di African countries wey democracy dey stable, but some people dey talk say President Talon dey use court anyhow to deal with im opponents. Talon wey don enter office since 2016 talk say e no go run for third term when e second term go finish for 2026. Di men lawyers waka comot for court before di judgment, say di court no dey fair.
