Gunmen kidnap 10 people in Ondo

In Ondo State, gunmen kidnapped 10 travellers on the Owo-Ipele-Benin Highway. A police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, said seven people were confirmed kidnapped. The travellers were coming back from the South-South region and heading to Akure when the incident happened.  

Their vehicle was found abandoned on the roadside, and other drivers noticed and raised the alarm. The police are currently investigating the case and have promised to share more information soon.  

The kidnappers have contacted the victims’ families and are asking for money (ransom) to let the people go.
