Seven injured in Lagos-Badagry Expressway accident
Seven people were injured in a car accident on Friday night on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The crash happened at Sawmill Bus Stop, near Ibereko, around 11:10 p.m. A V-wagon commercial bus and a Toyota Camry car collided. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) was informed at 11:15 p.m. and arrived at the scene seven minutes later.
The FRSC commander, Mr. William Manga, explained that the V-wagon bus lost control while making a u-turn and hit the Toyota Camry car coming from the opposite direction. A total of 24 people were involved in the accident. Seven people, including four men and three women, were injured and taken to Care General Hospital in Badagry for treatment.
The commander said the accident happened because of dangerous driving. Both vehicles were taken to the Mowo Police Station. Mr. Manga warned drivers to follow traffic rules, avoid speeding, and not overload their vehicles to prevent accidents.
